Storing peptides: general guidelines
Unreconstituted, lyophilized peptides are generally more stable than reconstituted solutions and are typically stored refrigerated or frozen, protected from light, until ready for use.
After reconstitution
Once a peptide is reconstituted into solution, it is generally more sensitive to temperature, light, and time, and is typically kept refrigerated (not frozen, to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles) and used within the timeframe noted on the product documentation. Avoid shaking vigorously — gently swirl instead — since agitation can damage peptide structure.
Shipping
Products may arrive at ambient temperature for short transit windows without meaningful degradation for most research peptides, but should be moved to appropriate storage promptly on arrival.
